Who keeps up or holds the checking account in your house?
Despite the fact that both parents may have access, which one of them actually balances and pays the bills and holds it?
My mom is the one who does the balancing, monthly dues paying and maintaining but dad actually has his salary puts in automatically, but mom is better at it and we trust her explicitly.
