Do not laugh at the title. I am really going to talk about curtains and the difference between them and blinds. However, I think that this subject is a thing that would be really trivial to all. Teeheee.
In my opinion, it depends on the size of the windows, the size of the room, and the scale and fashion of the rug or carpet and furniture.
Curtains and drapes are for luxurious rooms like grand rooms. Curtains are best to add drama to a room while blinds are for more simple aesthetics for smaller rooms. Always remember that it is really a matter of personal choice. People should put up what satisfies them and gives them more happiness.

If your new house is open floor plan like from the front door, you can see all the way to the back door and mixed together colors right through and all tied together in one way or a different way; back door is about a 7-foot glass sliding door and you need curtains, never go with a color different from everything else.
Keep the curtains in the same color scheme because if you did not, they will be an ugly thing as you walk in the front door every evening. Pick a pattern with all of the colors you already have.
Well, what about eyebrows? Honey fancies me to be a rainbow of colors. Perhaps even glow in the dark! Keed! Keed!

I don’t see anything funny in the title. I actually had the same dilema. We have a dark blue sofa set and rug that I have been trying to find curtains for. The problem was that I wanted floral curtains but blue floral fabrics were virtualy NONEXISTENT. So I decided to go with smithandnoble.come and I ordered these shades in a mainly blue fabric. So after over a year of looking and then trying to justify the expense after I had found smithandnoble.com (theyr items are custom, so theyr expensive) I finally hit the button and bought the curtains. Well, after waiting, I finally get the shades and theyre RED! You must imagine how nervous I was and my husband was only laughing “Is this what we were waiting for after 2 years of bare windows?” Luckily, smithandnoble.com took back the shades. It was a hassle to go thru, but we did receive the right ones after 2 months. We were shopping around for 2 years so 2 extra months of waiting was nothing. Anyway, that was just my funny story, but yes, now my sofas, curtains, and rug ALL match in a pretty floral BLUE!
