Almost mandatory

I think having life insurance is important but what age do you think a parent’s responsibility to obtain a life insurance for themselves naming their kids as a beneficiary comes to an end?
Well, my mom is 60 and I am 26 and she still listed me and my sister as her beneficiaries on her life insurance plan. I think every parent should have a life insurance plan in spite of if their children are adults, though it’s never a compulsory thing.
