When I worked as a scopist for ASECAsia, I have handled a lot of US court cases, I was kind of a legal transcript editor that time. It was a hard job because it includes understanding and hearing skills, we use this software to transcribe the wave file and type it out as text, and the training was harder because I had to study the right usage of the punctuations marks: periods, commas, colons, etc. and had to study stenography. Guess what? EU LOF U means I love you. It was a learning experience though.
The usual cases I have encountered was about Driving Under the Influence, probation and custody, I wanted to have rape cases though but I did not have a chance to get one. lol. I was enjoying the job and dream of becoming a san francisco estate lawyer too lol but my team leader did not like me plus the other trainees because we failed the final exam about stenos and punctuation marks. I was unsatisfied with my team leader’s decision because I was doing great during the hands-on.
Anyway, moving on.
