I dislike going to Internet shops because I feel that using the Internet in public invades my privacy — It is not that I am surfing some illegal sites but, you know, it feels really awkward when someone at the back or beside you is either intentionally or accidentally see your screen. Do you feel the same way too?
Anyway, I have seen a lot of cyber cafes nowadays that they have put up these dividers for users’ privacy, which are okay. It sounds good that they take the necessary precautions to keep their users safe and comfortable. It would also be awesome if they consider installing laptop privacy screen too.
Also, Internet hub users should be aware or have some ethics not to disturb others. My privacy is very important to me because I hate putting all of my personal things out in the open for everyone to know.

Yeah, I hate using public computer to surf the internet. I’m also paranoid about what spyware/trojans people leave behind on those computers..

I haven’t really tried being in a public net. Never really found myself in a scenario to use one. I don’t have a laptop with wireless broadband either. Can you give examples on when you would consider surfing in a cafe?

maybe when your PC at home crashed, and you have to do something very (or un-)important.

@Rommel If PC dies on me and I need to go online. I think that was one of the reasons why I use Internet in public. Anyway, Internet cafes are everywhere in the Philippines. hehe. Also, can’t surf at work because it’s prohibited, something like that.
It’s just weird when you are chatting in the YM and you are talking to your s/o and when you start giggling in front of the screen, it just feels awkward. lol.
Thank you for the comment.

Walang internet connection sa haus namin, well, when I was still living in the boondocks, hehehe. When I need to check my private email, specially nung nag-aayus ako ng mga requirements ko papaunta dito sa.. *woot* heheheh. Communication with my “to be” employer pa noon, so no choice, ayoko naman sa office na gawin kasi mabubuking na nag-a-apply ako somewhere, baka maharang.
