I know respected employers have this time of the year, which is always a pain in the butt. They are in charge for completing a self-evaluation, employee’s evaluations, and making salary proposals.
As a manager of a big company, it is his responsibility to guarantee his employees to know how they are performing throughout the year. Managers are paid a higher salary than others to make sure these things are completed accurately and fairly.
Do employee performance evaluations matter to you? I think they matter depending on the department and the company.
All workers need comments or feedback and it’s not just about money or ticking the corporate box. Imagine about how you feel if you don’t get any criticism or have direction/goals from your boss for the year ahead? It can be an unhelpful thing not only on individuals, but the team as a whole.
